This 63-footer designed for the Lake Charles, Louisiana pilots reflect a growing trend among pilot organizations. Pilots want a fast, comfortable, durable boat that can make longer and longer runs to awaiting ships. Once pilots are aboard, they want ample amenities on board – to catch the quick nap between assignments and to generally relax from the stress of a difficult job.
Lake Charles’ long pilot house offers two berths for pilots and a large lounge area with two reclining seats and a large settee and table arrangement. Down below is a head and galley. Powered by two 12V-92 Detroit Diesels, it is capable of a maximum speed of 27 knots and service speed of 24 knots. The boat features a roof-top boarding platform and full rescue features.
